Hi! I'm Yaisa Kairaba Bonetti, a Fashion Designer, Pattern Maker, and Sewing Instructor from Colombia, and the founder of Bonetti Patterns. I created the brand with a simple belief: well-designed clothing should feel personal, timeless, and made to be enjoyed for years—not simply for a season.

My love for fashion began long before I imagined creating a brand. As a little girl, I made clothes for my Barbie from fabric scraps, curiosity, and whatever I could find around me. Those tiny garments were my first lessons in fashion design, sewing, and the quiet satisfaction of creating something by hand.

I had only one Barbie throughout my childhood, and I still have her today. She reminds me that thoughtful design often begins simply—with curiosity, imagination, and the desire to make something beautiful with your own hands.

That same curiosity eventually led me to study Fashion Design and build a career around pattern making, sewing, garment construction, and teaching. Over time, I came to appreciate the beauty of thoughtful construction, flattering proportions, quality fabrics, and garments designed with intention.

Over the years, I've helped students turn an idea into a finished garment—from taking measurements and drafting a sewing pattern to selecting fabric, cutting, sewing, and refining the fit. These experiences shaped the way I approach every pattern: with clarity, precision, and wearability in mind.

Why Bonetti Patterns?

I created Bonetti Patterns because I believe women and men should have the freedom to create clothing that reflects their personal style, fits beautifully, and feels truly their own.

I also know that sewing can feel intimidating when you're just starting. There are measurements, patterns, fabrics, machines, techniques… it can seem like a lot.

My goal is to make the process feel simpler, more creative, and genuinely enjoyable.
